Material Available for Die Casting
Zinc, copper, aluminum, magnesium, lead, tin and lead tin alloy, is available for die casting. Iron is rare, but it is also possible. And there are some special material, such as ZAMAK, aluminum zinc alloy and aluminum association standards: AA380, AA384, AA386, AA390 and AZ91D magnesium.

Zinc
It’s very simple for casting, and very economic to manufacture small parts. Zinc casting parts is easy to be coated and have good pressure resistance, plasticity, and long lifetime.
Aluminum
Light mass; dimension stability while manufacturing complex parts with thin walls; good corrosion resistance, mechanical properties, temperature conductivity and electric conductivity; keep stable in a high temperature.
Magnesium
Easy to be machined; high strenth-weight ratio; the lightest weight in usual parts.
Brass:
High hardness, good corrosion resistance, the best mechanical properties; wear resistance and strength equal to steel.
Lead and Tin
High density, pretty high accuracy, used to make parts with special corrosion resistance; but not used in food industry.
