It’s expected that the development speed of global economy will be raised, but the global requirements of steel won’t. In the base on the relationship of GDP and the requirements of steel, and the predictions of IMF to the global economy in 2015, it can be estimated that the requirements of steel will be about 1.67 billion tons, raised by 6.8%.
However, the World Steel Association predicted that the requirements will be 1.60 tons, raised by 2%.
The important reason is that as the world’s biggest economy, China has reached the consumption peak of steel. But, the developed countries are expected to get a satisfied prospect, especially in Europe.
As the main exported area of Chinese steel, Asian countries, especially countries these placed around China will be affected by the poor market in China, even though the requirements in some countries will be raised. But Chinese economy in the latter half of 2015 is supposed to better.
